Case Study: Mangaia School

Mangaia School is an area school on the island of Mangaia for students in ECE to Year 13. Since 2017, Mangaia School have implemented PSHLP principles and modules within their teaching and learning programmes, adopting differentiated approaches tailored to suit their composite teaching and learning setting.

During COVID-19:

  • Distributed COVID-19 age-appropriate pamphlets to families
  • Explored COVID-19 using PSHLP learning resources
  • Participated in PLD and implemented Y9 programmes relating to My Health Profile; Past, Present, Future Environments; and Health Services Distribution
  • Continued to implement PSHLP programmes
