Resources for Children

In this 4-minute video, Kura the crab explains the COVID-19 vaccine to tamariki (children) aged 5-11 years. Kura has a hard hermit crab shell for protection. Kura talks about how the vaccine protects communities from COVID-19. He talks to children about how they might feel when getting the vaccine.

This downloadable teacher resource accompanies the Kura the crab video.

The resource offers activities that support health and scientific literacy and learning about COVID-19 and vaccinations using the video.

Target age – 5 to 11 years.
